Calling all STANSKI members past and current

We’ll be hosting our Fall Open House on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Kingwood Building.

In order to streamline our resources, STANSKI board is proposing to change the Fall General Meeting to an Open House format where club members can socialize, enjoy BBQ, pickup rental equipment and learn more at a formal general meeting.  The rationale is that historically nothing that would require a members meeting changes between our AGM in April till October.  To fullfill our obligation to the Society Act of Alberta, please find the amendment here >> FGM_amend2012.

OPEN HOUSE DETAILS:
Date:  Sunday, October 21, 2012
Time:  4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Location:  Kingswood Building.
Activities: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. I CAN SKI equipment rental pickup and registration.
4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. BBQ and activities for children.
6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. General Meeting (to include bylaw amendment)

Look forward to seeing everyone on the 21st.

Regards,

Ken Chin

5th September 2012

Cool mornings and shorter days can mean only one thing….

Welcome fellow skiers and fitness enthusiasts!

We are gearing up for another exciting season. We are crossing our collective fingers in hopes of early and abundant snow. Like always, our family friendly club is pleased to offer programs at reasonable costs with an emphasis on skill development and fitness without forgetting to have a great deal of fun.

Our ever popular adult programs will fine-tune your abilities or prepare you for a loppet or even the famous Birkebeiner. Best of all, our courses get you out on those beautiful, long winter nights to meet like minded folks.

From the beginners I CAN SKI program for the littlest ones to our advanced Junior Development Program we provide lessons, coaching and training for all levels of skiers. New for 2013 season is a dual-track approach. The Junior Development Program participants can now choose between a recreational or competitive stream depending on their interests.

The Dry Land Training for Junior Development Program will commence on Saturday, September 15 between 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kingswood Park Shelter.

See the details on the Team Section. Registration will be online beginning September 9th. New participants are welcome drop in for free the first two weeks.

Happy Trails!
